My CAS Plan.

Creativity:

- Handmade Crafting. For my creativity section I have decided to do handmade crafting during every weekend because during the past summer I've become very interested in that and have found a lot of youtube channels and instagram pages that taught how to do various DIY projects. Furthermore my intentions involve grouping with other students with the same interest, sharing our works and doing a fund-raising auction at our school around Christmas time to satisfy my service CAS section too.

- Cooking. This is definitely something I utterly adore so on the weekends I will be mastering my cuisine skills by cooking for my family at home and during cooking club every Monday. I also plan to do that for every fair that will be held at our school so that I will be able to share my favorite dishes with the rest of the students.

Action:

- Tennis. I have played tennis 4 years ago and I really enjoyed it but was forced to quit when the work load given to me at school started to take too much of my free time. However, now that our IB diploma obliges us to do physical activity, I thought that it would be a good idea to restart my training! I called up my teacher (the one that I was taught by 4 years ago) and we agreed to meet twice a week at a local court.

- Yoga. Practicing yoga is a completely new activity for me but I have always thought about doing it in the past. My mother, who has been practicing yoga previously, gave me the phone number of her former trainer and I have already made arrangements to be doing yoga on Sundays for 1.5h at the teacher's apartment.

Service:

- Russian tutoring. My french teacher, Mme Merlet, has kindly asked me to help her out with learning russian and I instantly recognized that as a CAS opportunity. From now on, every Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime I will be having conversations with her in russian as well as teaching her grammar and writing.

- Recycling Paper. I have always been annoyed by the amount of useless paper, carton and magazines at our apartment. Always. Quite recently, I have discovered a recycling point relatively near my house so I have decided to spend my weekends collecting paper (newspaper mostly) and recycling it all in the end of each month. I believe that this will target several CAS outcomes and will generally be a truly useful and unusual for me activity.

  1. I really like your plan and as both your "CAS buddy" and your friend would love to try some of your cooking.
May I suggest that the decoration of muffins or cookies (as an example) be considered a separate Creativity activity?
